EQUIPMENT
Danish Aerospace Company (former Damec Research ApS) developed the Respiratory Monitoring System-II (RMS-II) equipment with the Swiss company CIR as prime contractor. RMS-II was flown successfully on the Euromir-95 mission.
During their mission the astronauts utilized the Respiratory Monitoring System-II in support of a series of scientific experiment in cardiovascular and respiratory physiology. The equipment was used in the Spektr-module and subsequently deorbited together with the Mir Space Station.

The RMS-II equipment was a photo- and magnetoacoustic multi-gas analyzer with the purpose of performing advanced non-invasive cardiovascular and pulmonary measurements on for humans in microgravity.
Danish Aerospace Company also developed and delivered two NASA ergometers which was launched to Mir in support of the seven NASA Space Shuttle missions to Mir and the seven permanent NASA astronaut who visited the station from 1995 to 1998.
